For the very few who will actually read this, I was wondering what the difference between Fill and Opacity is in Photoshop. They seem to to the same thing.

I'm sure I'll get tonnes of replys :P

ps. those thailand photos will not be in- they're too 'happy snap' looking.

I'm asking myself this question all the time :)
I see they are not the same, but i can't really tell what the difference is.
I know my comment helped too much so you don't have to thank me about that :D

As far as I can tell, fill doesn't effect layer effects (like drop shadows, or outlines). So you can have a box with an outline effect on the layer, drop it's fill to 20%, and you'll get a semi transparent box, with a fully opaque outline.

Opacity affects the layer effects, so outlines will become more transparent the closer you go to 0% opacity.

heheeh, well i'm glad i'm not the only one who catn't see the difference :P
